About Us

This private career college was established in 1997 to train floorhands (roughnecks) for the land based drilling and well servicing industry.

Since the beginning, hundreds of APTC graduates have completed our excellent programs and are now working in successful oil and gas careers. The management of APTC possess a wealth of industry and training experience with a combination of fifty years in both land and offshore oil operations. The instructional and administrative staff are dedicated, experienced professionals. They maintain excellence in safety and learning, and foster an atmosphere of support and accessibility for students.

Graduates receive sound knowledge of the challenges of working in the industry. In addition to practical skills and safety leadership the culture of the workplace is also a topic covered in the program.
