Standard First Aid

  • Provides Additional training to enhance First aid skills
  • We offer $110 Million Liability insurance coverage per claim/aggregate to students who successfully complete a St. John Ambulance course
  • Recommended for worksite of 20 - 100 employees
  • Time 16 hours ( 2 days)
  • Standard First Aid Course certification is valid for 3 years

Compulsory and Elective lessons that we cover in the first aid course for Atlantic Petroleum Training College are:

  • Emergency Scene Management
  • Shock, Unconsciousness and Fainting
  • Artificial Respiration (Adult Only)
  • Choking(Adult Only)
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Cardiovascular Emergencies & one Rescuer CPR (Adult)
  • Two Rescuers CPR (Adult)
  • Secondary Survey
  • Bone & Joint Injuries Upper Limbs
  • Head/Spinal & Pelvic Injuries
  • Wound Care
  • Multiple Casualty
  • Eye Injuries
  • Burns
